The Canadian National Committee of the International Dairy Federation
(FIL-IDF Canada) is the only national forum where all partners of
the Canadian dairy industry discuss issues relevant to the sector
in a non-political way (eg. the National Dairy Code).
FIL-IDF Canada brings together producers, processors, agencies,
universities, colleges, research institutes and private companies
involved in the dairy business in Canada.
Canada has been a member-country of FIL-IDF since 1971 and is playing in a
major role at the international level. It is a non political, non
profit, national organization which promotes through international
cooperation and consultation, the solution of scientific, technical
and economic problems in the international dairy field.
The Canadian Dairy Information Centre (CDIC) is of a partnership between Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) , the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC), the Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC), and the Dairy Processors Association of Canada (DPAC). These four organizations have worked in partnership to create a comprehensive site on the Canadian Dairy Industry.
